Youth Anti-Violence Initiative - This initiative addresses the crisis in our communities and schools. The Ryan Cameron Foundation (RCF) provides a platform for young people to openly express their thoughts and opinions on issues that impact them. This is accomplished through our Anti-Violence Forum, Youth Anti-Violence Contest, and monthly Teen Driver Education. The impact of this program is measured by the youth who take a stand against violence & distracted driving and choose to use their voices to become ambassadors for change within their communities.
Youth Golf Clinic - The Ryan Cameron Foundation introduces the game of golf to 25 youth. With the assistance of PGA golf pros, youth learn the fundamentals of the game in a beginner’s golf clinic. The youth also have the opportunity to play a foursome game of golf with an adult mentor. As an added surprise all participants receive a voucher to return to the golf course to practice and cultivate their skills.
Father Daughter Dance - This is the foundation's annual gala event that is designed to strengthen the bond between a father and his daughter. Held on Father's Day, this elegant affair allows daughters as young as 2 years of age to be treated like ladies by their dads. It's a day neither father or daughter will forget.
Youth Healthy Lifestyle Initiative - The Ryan Cameron Foundation (RCF) is dedicated to developing a healthier and more active Atlanta community. This initiative is designed to create healthier communities through community engagement, education, and demonstration. RCF empowers the community to make healthier lifestyle choices through our Annual Health Fair and Walk as well as monthly engagement appearances. Our Healthy Lifestyle Initiative reaches 25,000 people annually and provides a year’s worth of free medical screenings to 1,000 people.
Environmental Initiative - RCF is committed to our environment by executing quarterly Adopt-A-Highway clean ups as well as establishing and maintaining a Community Garden. Our Community Garden seeks to address food deserts starting with the Bankhead neighborhood. Our plan is to plant various crops in our 10 raised, cedar-garden beds that the community can benefit from. This initiative serves as an opportunity for people of all ages to join together to improve our community.
